MARC MELLITS CONSORTIUM OPPORTUNITY

Dr. Dave Camwell and Dr. Stephen Page announce an open invitation to all interested saxophonists to participate in a new consortium commission of composer Marc Mellits. This new work by Mellits will be a 4-6 minute duo for two alto saxophones (and possibly playable by any two like-saxophones). Participation is limited to 30 saxophonists. The subscription fee of $150 (US dollars) per saxophonist must be received by Dave Camwell by September 1st, 2013, in order to ensure participation. Subscribing members of the consortium will receive an autographed, numbered score and set of parts. Delivery of scores will be made by March 17, 2014. All participants will have a one-year exclusivity agreement on performances with other members of the consortium for one year before the piece is made available for the general public. Consortium members are asked to perform only with other consortium members for the duration of the first year.
Consortium members will be listed in the published score for recognition of participation. Payments may be made by personal check to “Dr. Dave Camwell - Mellits Consortium”.
